Our Changing Workplace

We are witnessing dramatic changes in the work environment for high-tech workers. Nowadays, we are more likely to be hired as "temps," better known as "flex-terms" at LLNL. As companies reorganize more frequently, and as projects like AVLIS come and go, we could end up hopping from job to job. Given these dynamics, all of us need to be concerned about rebuilding careers, portable benefits, and re-education.

The Society of Professional Scientists and Engineers (SPSE) invites all employees to a talk on these issues by a nationally known expert from the Silicon Valley.
